Actress goes from Silk Smitha to Indira Gandhi

Remember the actress Vidya Balan who had won National Award few years ago. She won it for starring in a biopic made on the life of Southern actress turned item girl Silk Smitha.

Now the actress has been offered a completely contrasting role that is to die for. She has been reportedly approached with a script that is based on the life and times of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is said to be based on the ‘emergency’ enforced in India during her period.

From an item girl to Indian Prime Minister that is a role reversal of a lifetime for sure but will the actress accept is the million dollar question here. Given her current position at the box office, one must say this would be hugely tempting. Let’s wait and see what decision she takes.
