Production of gas in the body is a normal part of
the body processes. However, when it is excessive it becomes very embarrassing
and creates a lot of discomfort.
Gases and bloating can also cause your tummy to
swells and pain. You can't attend the social gatherings as there will be
frequents visits to the loo.
Some
people have this problem immediately after eating food and they can't find out
which particular food aggravate the formation of gas. As there are some foods
that cause gas such as potatoes, beans, corn etc that can cause gases.
There are some foods
that are hard to digest and cause gas problem. Some people are allergic to milk
(lactose intolerance). The lactose sugar present in milk is not digested well
by these people which results in bloating and gas.
Processed Foods They contain high amounts of sugars such as lactose and fructose which cause gas. Apart from it, processed foods also contain many unhealthy ingredients that cause digestion problems and gas.
Brussels Sprouts And Cabbage These vegetables cause gas as they are rich in sugar and fibres that are hard to digest and ultimately cause gas in the abdomen. Peas also fall in the same category.
Chewing Gum Chewing gum makes you to swallow a lot of air that gets accumulated in the abdomen. Also chewing gums contain a lot of sugar that can hamper digestion and cause gases.
Oats No doubt oats are healthy and reduces cholesterol but at the same time it can also cause gas problems. The high amount of soluble fibre present in oats contribute to gas in the intestines.
Potatoes, Corn And Whole Grains They are rich in starch content so many people find it hard to digest which causes accumulation of gas. If you are already suffering from indigestion and gas then only have a limited amount of potatoes. Apart from potatoes corn and wholegrain foods can also cause gas.
Candies They are rich in sugar which cause gases in the intestine and while sucking a candy, you may swallow a lot of air inside. This will cause gas problems.
