Director's Husband rapes US Woman

Bollywood filmmaker Anusha Rizvi's husband Mahmood Farooqui was arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly raping a foreign woman.

On June 19th, A US Woman lodged a complaint against Mahmood Farooqui at the New Friends Colony police station in South Delhi. A case under Section 376 of IPC has been filed. Cops arrested the accused on the same day and sent him to judicial custody for 6 days.

Anusha Rizvi is the director of Bollywood's Satirical Comedy 'Pepli Live' which was produced by Aamir Khan. Even Mahmood Farooqui worked as Co-Director for the movie. The film was both critically acclaimed and commercially successful.

Neither Anusha Rizvi nor the US Woman who accused the Co-Director of rape interacted with media till date on the rape case.
