Swathi is one heroine who has created an identity of her own not
just in Tollywood but also in Tamil Nadu. Having originally shot to fame with
her famous television programme ‘Colors’, she soon made her foray onto the big
screen. Over the years the number of films she has done have been limited but
well in keeping with her image of a native Telugu heroine.
Although she does appear
in glamor roles, she does not expose and naturally, the offers she gets have
been along those lines. Hence, she got more roles in Tamil industry where more
films are made with scope for performance rather than skin show. Recently, the
posters of Swathi’s upcoming film ‘Tripura’ were released in which she was seen
in traditional ‘Langa-Voni’ attire.
What was remarkable about her appearance was that she seemed to
have put on weight and her face also looked more mature than in her earlier
films. Is it the result of make-up or has she gained weight? Either way, Swathi
would do well to go on a correctional course at least for the sake of her loyal
fan base
