Heroine fight against Dog Meat

If you are born a dog in India then you should consider yourself lucky because that’s not the case in China. Chinese love to eat dog meat and kills the honest animals for sake of taste.

Every year, the province of Yulin in Guangxi Zhuang is witness to the most barbaric and inhumane festivities. Known as the Yulin Dog Meat festival, it is here that thousands of dogs are mercilessly killed. Since 2010, every year as many as 10,000 dogs are taken to Yulin in Guangxi province ahead of the annual meat festival due to star on June 21.

Now, one heroine is voicing her protest against it. The heroic woman is trying to save hundreds of dogs from the dinner plate at China's barbaric annual 'meat festival'. She is none other than Seiya Gautham who appeared opposite Raviteja in Neninteh movie.Seiya has urged one and all to sign the online petition to stop the Yulin Dog Meat festival and she has put it up on her social networking profile.

Yulin's dog meat "festival," where some 10,000 dogs are slaughtered and served up as meals, is often wrongly assumed to be an ancient Chinese tradition. The event will take place on the weekend of 21 and 22 June. Traditionally some 10,000 dogs and, more recently cats, are slaughtered for consumption at the event, all washed down with gallons of lychee wine. As many as 20 million dogs are killed in China each year and eaten as the meat is believed to help protect from evil ghosts and disease. Some men believe it will help boost their sexual performance.
