Puri Jagannadh has a penchant for negative
titles but choosing Loafer as title is extreme for even his standards.
Naga Babu’s son who did a classy film Mukunda
for his debut is stepping into the shoes of Loafer instead of Nithin, who
walked out of the film for ‘unavoidable’ reasons.
Loafer title has been receiving mixed response
from the film buffs and mega fans. Keeping the reactions aside this title gives
a strong statement that Varun Tej is looking to target mass audience with this
film.
In spite of having massy looks, Varun chose to
do a class film for his debut vehicle. Now he is trying his luck with this mass
movie that also has loads of mother sentiment.
This film will start rolling from July 1st and
will be completed by September. Producer C. Kalyan is aiming for Dasara
release.
Disha Patani is roped in as the female lead in
this movie. Pavitra Lokesh will play Varun’s mother character. Puri is
repeating his Jyothi Lakshmi technical crew for Loafer too.
